I currently have 2 gis and want to purchase a 3rd. I have an Atama Blue gi that is super heavy weight and I'm not a huge fan of. I recently bought a black Vulcan Pro light that I LOVE. I'm going to pick up another one of these so I can cycle them thru so they have time to dry etc. Thinking of getting another blue gi but was also looking at the red. I'm afraid the red might be a little too much though. It may force my training partners to want to go harder with me. If that's the case it's a good thing because it will help me improve. HAHA

What are your thoughts? I know it's all personal preference but I just don't want to be "that" guy...

    Pete

I don't know about being "THAT GUY" but you'll definitely be "THIS GUY"...

red isn't a common color, you'll be "that guy" if you get red.

are you a white belt? If so that will multiply your "that guy" status by 100 fold. Go with the blue

I feel like unless it's your first day at a new place why shouldn't you wear a tie dye gi if you want to?

Red just looks weird unless you have a black belt and your name is Fedor

Blue is pretty, brings out the color of my eyes.

I'm glad I posted this... HAHA Looks like it's 100% blue. One of the guys I train with has a red gi and I kind of look at him like he's "that guy." However, he can be that guy cause he is one of the best grapplers.

One day I hope to train at a gym that judges people based not on the color of their gi but on the dopeness of their game.

It's not about being judged based on the gi but if you're going to be spending $200 for one you might as well look fly in the thing.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying....

There's just the stigma of calling a lot of attention to yourself when it comes to martial arts practitioners. If you're veering away from the traditional white/blue (in BJJ at least), you better bring it.

You talk the talk, but do you walk the walk? :icon_twis

Personally I would get a gi that was:

    that color or

that color if I could find it

Brunami is the only site I know of where it's possible but I still want to shop around

edit: No, I am not a bucks fan xD
