    UFC record of 1-4.
    3 losses in a row.
    Busted for steroids.
Tried once already to defect to Bellator.

    Time to let him go?

Big Ticket + Losing Streak = possible cut.

At least his style is fan friendly.

If he was a boring wrestler, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

well outside Sanchez he fought beasts, and could have easily gotten decisions over Bendo and Eddie.

IMO Yes, I think Dana said regarding Benson is he wants guys that are on their way up, not down.

I think if he loses one more he goes to Bellator, the next fight will probably be a winnable one tho, so I don't think they're going to do it.

I appreciate Gil's gameness and style of fighting, he should've won that Benson fight but the lw division has moved past him.. I'd love to see a rematch in Bellator if it ever happens.

We're discussing whether or not he should be cut, not executed.

Fighters with far more successful UFC tenures have been released after hitting a rough patch.

But, I imagine that he will get at least one more opportunity, though he is not in the pay bracket to be facing lower tier guys. I imagine he will be paired with another aging name who is also on the downside. Jim Miller, Joe Lauzon, even Gomi if the UFC decides to put him in there again.

They UFC could attempt to re-sign him for less and have him go full gatekeeper.

No, how many men in the world can eat Edson Barbosa leg kicks and not only stand but come back for more? These guys don't grow on trees
