I mean still be on the career record, but count with the rankings?

Take bisping who swooped in to save the card, on short notice JUST after taking a beating from GSP

He could have challenged the belt again soon ... but his favour is his fally

ya know

Of course. They get paid. They know the risks.

100% ranked. Think about the winner. They would win then get nothing of benefit out of it.

You just didn't think it through.

No!!!!!

In fact, winning or losing on short notice shouldn't count.

Sure. You don't hear any complaints if they win...

Fill-ins should count for 75% of what a normal fight does.

Oh wait, I'm assuming that UFC uses a logical ranking system. <45>

Fighters should be required to stay in shape at all times in order to take short notice fights

Royce Gracie's first fight on UFC 1 should have been the only one counted that night. His other fights that night were short notice.

What if Anderson Silva had beaten DC? Would that have counted or would Silva not have been the champ?

You can’t throw the fight out only if the short notice guy loses

Yes, it should count. Fill in fighters are the ones who signed up for that at the end of the day.
