That was one of the nastiest injuries to date in UFC and wonder what the odds are for him to re-break the same limb?
Anyone know how the doctors mended his bones? Does he have steel bars inside his leg?

Saw Anderson saying his leg is good but, he has to at least be mentally hesitant to go all out with the left.

    "mentally hesitant" no doubt!
But no the leg is stronger now. re-breaking it seem unlikely.

All he has to do is correct his lazy technique. He broke it because he kicked incorrectly because he was still disrespecting and trolling Weidman. If he turns the kick over like he's supposed to he will never break it (well, its POSSIBLE, but unlikely).

He's not going to break a titanium rod.

He said it took about 8 months before he started being OK with checking and kicking, I'd always have it in my mind though but I've never had my feetarms break

I had the exact same injury as Anderson.

Not sure if he kept his plates in, or if he took them out, but as far as I know once it heals you have a better chance of breaking your leg in another place than in the one where the bone has healed.

It will be a non issue physically... only possibly mentally.

he looked extremely hesitant to throw kicks vs nick.

I think now he is probably over the leg break.

He wasn't taunting on the second fight.
    Weidman checked the kick.
    Go to sleep and STFU.

Holy shit, what were you doing? Was it the worst pain ever?
Pretty sure it's all mental for him to unleash his kicking power now.

We were standing and grappling, guy was backing me up trying to push me to the ground and my ankle got twisted behind me as he landed on top of me.

Ya it was pretty bad... after the surgery it was tough as well, since it's in the lowest part of the body, if the foot was elevated it was somewhat bearable... but any time I'd have to get up to hop over to the toilet or something, and the blood would all rush down to my my ankle, it felt like the damn thing was gonna explode.

But ya, about 3 months later I was able to put weight on it, and after a while it healed fine and I went on about my life as if nothing happened.
