Well it is changing that’s true. I totally refused to believe that it was going to go blue in 2020, and it looks like I was wrong. When I visit (I still have friends and family there) I sense that it is changing. But it’s a weird state. Normally big cities are liberal, but Maricopa County where Phoenix is elected Joe Arpaio as sheriff a bunch of times, lol.maybe you're right about az. only been there twice for a weekend both times, so don't really know about it. i know people from az and they don't act at all like those from down south or from the midwest. they seem a lot more liberal.
the chinese economy is the second most powerful in the world...and has grown exponentially over the past few decades. ir's estimated china is well on track to replace america as the world's leading superpower within a decade.
I doubt the canadians and mexicans agree that they are americans. if they were, the us would have socialized medicine and mexico would enjoy a higher standard of living.
I hope America breaks up. Red states will be a wasteland in under a decade.
True but those states may want to become part of the northeast if this hypothetical actually happened. If you factor in Lake Erie and the Great Lakes Michigan connects to New York State and Pennsylvania and on to Illinois and Wisconsin and Minnesota. The upper Midwest controls most of our nations freshwater. hello and well met, StoneColdSteveAustin,
some of the Southern States would do alright, i think. North Carolina might survive.
i do wonder what would happen to places like Alabama. West Virginia would become a very strange land, also (its already kinda strange, but its strangeness would become more strange).

they would simply have to learn to get along without those states. that would be the price to pay for not having liberals running the government.

Not that this is ever going to happen anyways
Alabama. Mississippi. Arkansas plus many other would be in deep shite.
hio SCSA,
their standard of living would change very much, i think.
*muses*
those hurricane ravaged states that rely on FEMA to rebuild their shit year after year....lol. they'll pine for socialism.

The Midwest and south are reliant on the other regions, it would hurt them economically.
Unlike Trump cultists who hate other people and who want to kick dirt on people In need, I have no problem helping out states that underperform and the giving care to the citizens who live there.
the problem I have is that these folks receiving our help hate us. They hate big city blue state types. Constantly slapping the hand that feeds them.

The conservative Midwest-south can’t survive economically without the money that comes in from the west coast and northeast. They’ve been essentially subsidized for years, Texas and Florida are the only ones that have any substantial economic activity, otherwise they are gonna have to sell a lot of corn.
So let them secede and offer citizenship to good people fleeing those states.
I think they would be fine they all (except arkansas) of what you named touch the ocean. They just would be poor I imagine it will become like Romania or Moldova maybe Tunisia.
They just connect if you factor in the lakes...They are both on Lake Erie so there theoretically could be a direct shipping line that wouldn’t have to cross through the hypothetical Midwest country (ny state not ny city)I don’t think they’d want that.
Their culture and affinity for their lakes is very unique and a matter of identity and pride.
Can you explain how Michigan connects to NY? Not saying you are wrong, I just don’t follow that bit.
