Should all US citizens be allowed to vote by mail?

Should all voters in the US be given the choice to vote by mail?

So voting by mail is a big topic again due to social distancing guidelines as a result of COVID-19.

Recently Trump has threatened to withhold funding from purple states that are mailing out absentee ballot applications to all voters.

Even though he doesn't seem to have a problem with Red states doing the same thing.

Trump has also asserted that voting is an Honor/Privilege while Progressive maintain voting is a right.

In a way it is a privilege, of being an American citizen. If it was a basic right you wouldn't need to register.

So the party which promoted the false claim that voter id laws are racist for years, now are pushing for voting by mail?
What could go wrong?

I thought we were already tbh

It's up to the states. Some do allow anyone to vote by mail such as Oregon and Utah. Others only allow absentee ballots for specific reasons like being deployed overseas or medical conditions.

no. There are millions of non US citizens and illegal aliens who live in the US. They do not have the right to franchise.

why should you need an ID to vote? it's not like you need a birth certificate to be president.

no.... if people can get out of their house to go to a grocery store or walk their dog, then they should be able to go out and physically vote. voting imo is a sacred part of our political institution and should be done physically unless extenuating circumstances/physically not capable. the way i see it, if a guy at mcdonalds can leave his house to make you a burger wearing PPE, you should be able to go out and vote wearing a mask and observing social distancing.

Yes, why do you need voters to be physically present and wait in line for an hour to cast a vote? they can just mail the checked ballot to you with proof of ID and get it tallied just the same.

Id rather have electronic voting on safe computers. Then mail ballots.

The Constitution I thought said states can decide. So let them decide how.

Lol at thinking voter fraud even exists

Of course mail in ballots should be an option all the time. More people can vote, people wouldn’t have to waste time taking off work to vote and voter fraud doesn’t even exist so I really can’t think of many negatives at all

Republicans do worse when turnout goes up. That’s literally all any of this shit is ever about.
