Anyone ever taken a short notice fight such as 2 weeks notice? If so what is the best way to build stamina? When I grappled regularly 3 5 min. rounds were rough so I know 3 5 min. rounds of MMA will be a lot tougher. I put this in this forum because stamina will be the biggest concern.
Best way to build stamina in the ring in such short notice is simply to spar as much as possible in those ring conditions. Maybe shorten the rest time by 15-30 seconds between rounds. 2 weeks... that's such a short notice to rebuild stamina.
There's not much you can do in 2 weeks. My advice would be to try to figure out what pace you can keep for 3 five minute rounds and figure out a game plan that will allow you to dictate the pace of the fight so your opponent doesn't wear you down.
