Columbus Ohio. Black male taken into hospital for being unresponsive in parking lot. Police contact paramedics and it is learned he has a warrant for domestic violence and weapons violations. Officers begin to lay his down and find a pocket full of credit cards that belong to other people, a bullet, and other items. Then the one officer signals the other officer that he has a gun. As they try to put his hands behind his back, Jackson sticks his hand down his pants and repeatedly yells that officers are grabbing his “balls.” Officers can’t get that hand out of Jackson’s crotch and they begin to drive stun him with the taser. A shot is then heard which has been confirmed to have coke from Jackson’s gun. An officer shoots Jackson and then his gun jams. He attempts to clear it while they give out instructions to Jackson and admits he has a gun but won’t show his hand. They do this for four minutes and then another officer tasers him and Jackson fires another shot. The officers then light him up, handcuff him, remove the gun, and load Jackson on a gurney where he later dies.

He we are again. Killed for having and firing a gun, but the narrative will be that he was minding his own business sleeping when police got involved.

Protesters tried to break into police hq with bolt cutters and attacked police.

The anecdotal evidence to support the assertion that the disproportionate per capita rate of deaths by black men at the hands of police is largely the result of resisting arrest and aggression towards officers has become overwhelming. If you take a look at the last 20 or so "controversial " fatal shootings or actions which led to death... I would said 95 percent of them would have been avoided had the person cooperated.

Similar situation to the guy who was OD’d on the bus in Wisconsin. Paramedics and fire arrive on scene and revived him only for him to shoot and kill a firefighter before police shot and killed him.
