First and foremost he has to win on Sept 23 vs OSP.....I personally dont like to talk about fighters in Shoguns position getting shots and being contenders when they have a fight coming up. He loses, then its irrelevant.

If he wins it all depends on how the LHW picture unfolds and who is champ. If we get Gus vs Cormier and Cormier wins then it will certainly become tougher for Shogun to win the title. But if its Gus then its more favorable for Shogun style wise, same if Volkan were to somehow become champion.

Shogun gave Gus fits in the first fight, and right now I actually think Shogun is better than hes ever been. Patient and tactical. He had Gus hurt, knocked him down I believe. He could potentially beat Gus
