Shogun/Machida vs Hendricks/St Pierre, which was worse?

I thought Hendricks won extremely narrowly - close enough that it could be easily the other way.

I thought Shogun won three rounds pretty clearly and a fourth fairly closely. That was a bad, baaaaaaaad decision.

Hendricks was worse.

He beat the shit/tar out of GSP.

Also, I hope you're ready to move on to refuting a different shit poster with facts

- The audience was largely in favor of Machida before the fight. After the decision was announced, the only thing you could hear was boos, boos and more boos.

- Rogan and Goldberg gave the fight to Shogun.

OMFG this again. The simple answer is both of them were bad, incorrect judging. The champion was given an early phantom round. Round 3 of gsp hendricks was closer then round 1 was.

After dozens of rewatches Machida / Rua I thought it was 10-10, then 2/3 Machida and 4/5 Shogun.

Hendricks / GSP was egregious though.

These two fights shouldn't even be in the same discussion. Shogun/Machida was by far a worse robbery.

I don't consider either fight a blatant "robbery". Shogun and Hendricks appeared to do enough to win at the time, but I thought the difference was narrow enough at the time that it could really have gone either way both times.

Sometimes a combination of Rogan's commentary and Dana's post fight reaction is enough to make us see fights differently than they actually went down. Especially with the GSP/Hendricks fight.. damn, Rogan's commentary was all over the action when Hendricks was scoring, but basically ignored GSP's high points. I rewatched it this past week, and this really stood out to me. It can really influence your perception.

People on here always act like machida/Rua wasn't close.

Rogan bias and the shock that shogun was doing so well plays into it a lot. It was very close

GSP beat Hendricks don't know why people still cry about that decision.

Hendrick X GSP by far

Shogun X Lyoto was close till the end and the visual of Lyoto being slowed down in the 5th by the accumulation of leg kicks throughout the fight made it seem like more of a robbery than it was.

Lyoto looked beaten, GSP was beaten.

Both in the argument for worst robbery in a shitle fight with only the Georgie and Lyoto fangirls making arguments for them winning but Shogoon/Lyoto is numero uno on that list. The outrage for the decision was unprecendeted and there was barely a soul making a case for Lyoto winning including even a judge (or two maybe) saying they made the wrong call.

Condit fans have no shame.

The dude ran and point fought under the new rule changes he would lose that fight. I hope for a rematch and look forward to the day when Condit starts getting knocked out and chased out of the ufc.

Both are close fights.

Shogun fans would tell you otherwise.

Lol at that one guy who said Karate doesn't work against Muay Thai. Such an ignorant response, but yeah the decision wasn't the greatest.

Unfortunately, fights are scored by rounds, not pictures of faces. Hendricks coasted in the 5th and gave it away. It was his own fault.
