In the 10-round main event, Vladimir Shishkin (9-0, 6 KOs), the fast-rising super middleweight prospect currently ranked as the WBC No. 12 contender, will return for his second consecutive test on ShoBox against the unbeaten Ulises Sierra (15-0-2, 9 KOs).

Shohjahon Ergashev (17-0, 15 KOs), ranked No. 6 by both the WBA and IBF at 140 pounds, will face Adrian Estrella (29-4, 24 KOs) in the 10-round super lightweight co-featured bout of the first ShoBox telecast of 2020. In the opener, Detroit native Ja’Rico O’Quinn (13-0-1, 8 KOs) faces Nevada’s Oscar Vasquez (15-2-1, 3 KOs) in an eight-round super flyweight contest.

Lliterally no boxing this weekend that i can find...can't wait until it picks up again

Shishkin, Ergashev, and O'Quinn all fight out of Detriot.
Don't know why they didn't hold it in Detriot

SHO, 10:00 pm ET, Vladimir Shishkin vs Ulises Sierra, Shohjahon Ergashev vs Adrian Estrella, Ja’Rico O’Quinn vs Oscar Vasquez. Another ShoBox tripleheader. Hey, the more ShoBox we get — even if the cards aren’t super great — the better, in my opinion. Shishkin is a terrific prospect at 168, and Ergashev a very good prospect at worst at 140. O’Quinn is a junior bantamweight from Detroit looking to make a mark for a wider audience. BLH will have live coverage.

I know they aren't household names, but this looks like a fun card IMO. Much better then the Shields abomination last weekend, for sure.

ShoBox is killing the game. 1/17, 1/31, and 2/14. Keep them coming Espinoza!

Fast-rising super middleweight prospect Vladimir Shishkin (9-0, 6 KOs) and unbeaten Ulises Sierra (15-0-2, 9 KOs) both made weight a day before they square off on ShoBox: The New Generation Friday night live on SHOWTIME (10:00 p.m. ET/PT) from WinnaVegas Casino in Sloan, Iowa. Friday’s show will be the 250th edition of ShoBox, the prospect-oriented series that has featured 81 future world champions since its inception in 2001. (photos by Dave Mandel)

I'm bored at work...hopefully these are good scraps

Like these New Generation shows... most are good fights... or one-sided beatdowns. Nothing wrong with violence on a Friday Night...

Pretty sure some big names like Larry Holmes and Tommy Morrison made an appearance on that iirc

Morrison fought that "guy from the crowd" for the title on that show i think

Everyone fought on those cards. Chris Byrd, Tua, seems like everyone. That was back about early to mid '90s. I think it was also TNF where the clown sucker punched the opponent in the ring after the fight. Butler. The guy who later killed Kellerman's brother?
