this isn't the first or the second time Aoki flipped the bird to his fallen opponent and probably not the last.

I think it's his semi-Pro Wrasslin'/Japanese "hardway" shtick to do that. He is a "heel".

That's going to be hard to do when Jones is on all fours trying to piece together how he just lost his belt.

Really? Have you looked at his opponent's record? Yuki Yamamoto, record of 6-7-3 (1) coming into the fight with no high-level fight experience. With all due respect to Yamamoto, this was a squash match.

There was a poster on here that used to train with Aoki. He was a foreigner training in Japan. He still posts on here sometimes. He said Aoki was a huge prick.

Aoki was teaching a footlock and the dude asked Aoki to show him one more time, so Aoki grabs his foot and cranks on it. The guy said he shouted out in pain and Aoki said, "That's how you do it" and walked off.

I think Calibur mentioned once (not sure if it was him) that some dude at a SHOOTO event wanted an autograph and went up to Aoki and bowed in front of him on his hands and knees while holding up the stuff he wanted signed. Aoki just looked at him and walked off.

To be fair, he stayed after DREAM once and signed everyone's stuff. I thought that was pretty cool of him. There were a fuck ton of people and he didn't leave until everyone's stuff was signed.

I thanked him, but he just ignored me. Meh, I guess a lot of people were demanding his attention though.

That's crazy. None of it surprises me. He flips people off after breaking arms with hammer locks, he does throat slashing motions after darce chokes, he just flipped off the whole arena after this twister.

I heard he isn't that big on America or Americans? I always heard that arm break on the hammer lock was over money. Like the owner of DREAM paid him to do it?

"Let's name it 'Keichi Sasahara 2010.' Because Sasahara told me to take him out, so I went and did just that, and that's why I figure I should name it after him." -- Shinya Aoki, christening his hammerlock submission after his "boss."
