No news on the other competitors, but seeing Aoki grappling will be fun, especially since he's been so unusually-inactive this year (he's normally had at least one fight by this time in a year, but a grappling match is just as good.) There's no information on whether or not it'll be broadcast, but hopefully it will be.
It's cool how there'll only be two weight-classes. Over 165 and under 165, and over and under 143 for women (so technically four classes.)
To get people hyped, here's a video that most Aoki fans have already seen of Shinya competing in Judo:

When is Aoki fighting that Hawaiian guy?

It seems like forever since he fought, is the guy not enough of a can for him?

^It looks like he's not gonna get the title shot. Tainanesu said he's only got one fight left on his contract and that he wants to leave ONE and fight for the UFC. So, unless he re-signs with ONE, they're not gonna give a title shot to a guy who's just gonna potentially win the title and then immediately leave for another organization. ONE doesn't wanna be the RFA.

Should participate in Rizin and have her fight Polyana Viana Mota from Jungle Fight. That or use some of those deep pockets to poach someone like Tatiana Suarez from UFC.

That was a dick post. Allow me to clarify:
Rizin has nothing to offer Lee, and ONE won't let her fight anywhere else as a champ anyway. I'm just fed up with seeing "They should fight for Rizin herp derp" being parroted on this board.

Wouldn't mind if someone hurts Shinya Aoki and makes him retire.
I still remember that time he broke his opponents arm and give him the finger after the fight.

^Hirota refused to tap-- holding that against Aoki is like being pissed at Mir for breaking Nogueira's arm-- and the middle finger doesn't have nearly the same viciousness in Japan that it does in America. It just shows ignorance to try to apply one culture's standards about something to a different culture. Aoki fought four months later, just to illustrate how comparatively-benign it is; if he'd done that in America, he'd be banned for a year and have to pay a fine and issue a big public apology in a suit and tie.

Aoki is a douchebag, has poor sportsmanship, and a history of injuring opponents when it isn't necessary.
    Keith Wisniewski (broke his arm)
    Kuniyoshi Hironaka (broke his arm)
Tatsuya Kawajiri (pops and almost breaks Kawajiri's leg with an achilles lock. Aoki later admitted he was hoping to give him an open fracture.)
    Hirota (previous post)

Wisniewski was just a thing that happened, Aoki pulled on his arm in a weird position and it just snapped. I don't think Aoki even really intended it to be a submission as he was confused when the fight was stopped. Silly to count that towards him being a douche. The stuff after the Hirota fight was unnecessary but the arm break isn't Aoki's problem, Hirota had plenty of time to tap and didn't. If Aoki is a douche (and honestly he is a bit of one) it's due to his antics and not breaking bones (he doesn't hold on to subs too long or anything).
