    I've been told to buy the cheapest/crappiest pair of shin guards for amateur competition.

    Any other suggestions than what I listed? So far the proforce is in the lead given that I have prime shipping. Maybe my other option is wrap my legs up in paper towels.

    Likely because shinguards are for the benefit of the person on the other end of your kick.

    Yup... Everyone rocks the crappy cloth shin pads. I would be stupid to show up with top kings.
