I been training for 3 months non-stop now been 2 years muay thai,

I spar 3 times a week, i am a small fighter by far 150 ,i spar we all big guys, I am preparing for a fight coming up, but i can't get pass some of my nagging injuries, now my foot was the first problem but now i am ok but now its my shin and its taking for ever to heal, I use my left kick alot either to head or body but when someone checks its from time to time the knee hits that muscle beside the shin, its never painful when i do it but after its horrible, Does anyone any methods to help the healing process, I have taking bruises before but this one ain't no joke. Also will sparing with big guys hinder my development, cause i know at 150 fighters going to be more of my speed, I match the big fighters power if not exceed it but speed i am on another level than them

I get the same type of shin injurys from my kicks and colliding with others legs/knees. It takes alittle while to heal up. I just don't kick anything with it. Soak in Hot water. Rub Icy Hot on it and pop some Alieve when I go train and possible an Hour before a sparring match. It will help numb the pain. But best to just not kick with it as far as contact goes before your fight. I also streght my sore leg/shin musles alot when they are hurting. It does help. By extending my feet all the way out and then the opposite way. Im no Doc. But it's what I do. It gets me by. Good luck.... GaBJJ

if i was your doctor i would prescribe a dose of reality, some punctuation, a spine and a decent trainer who will tell you to rest an injury until it is healed and tell heavier guys to spar lightly with u

There is no body my size to spar with, everyone is 180 or above kinda sucks but i always hold my own, but i do rest and i take it lightly with liver kicks now, I have had lots of injuries u know from football and other sports but this shin bruise actually its the muscle right next to the shin thats the problem won't go aways its like a throbing pain, but i fight soon can't and don't want to take time off

I kind of see what u mean with ur injury.

I train MT/Kickboxing since 10 years. And about 2 years ago, I had this pain while sparring a couple of time. I happened while blocking a low kick. As u say, it's not the shin but right next to it, on the muscle. In my case it was very intense and weird, not at all this kind of bone against bone pain. It's the kind of pain that kind of cuts ur breath...

Anyways, it didn t hurt after training, or become chronical, unlike u............I don t know what to tell u. In my case I suspected it to be a nerve thing, because of the kind of pain.

Ice it and give it time to heal. work on yer hands. you need to give it a week or two, If youve been training as much and as long as you said you have its not gona kill you, about every 3 weeks I give my shins 4 or 5 days to heal. Thats when they harden up man.
