No. Any of the fights between Diego, Nick Diaz, and Karo were among the best grappling based MMA matches of all time. There was also Sakuraba vs. Newton and Braga. Grice vs. Black. There are a ton of great grappling matches in MMA, can't just use a recent one and say it's the best.

Well I laid out my criteria for selecting it. Nick was just brown belt I think back then. Plus, Paul and Shields BJJ >>> Diego or Karo

Shields/Paul are higher level BJJ guys, who mainly relies on their BJJ, who actually had legit bad blood going in, actually had a lot of high level grappling exchanges, and actually submission came in against a guy who hasn't been submitted in a decade and a half in MMA.

Pretty shocked no one else mentioned it, but Hioki vs Oliveira from last year was probably my all time favourite MMA grappling match. Newton/Saku was for years, but man, Hioki/Oliveira was just something else entirely. A FEAST FOR DA SENSES

Just watched the fight and Jake truly got handled the whole fight. He was taking punishment no matter where the fight went.

Pual Harris's dirty shit aside, those were some of the most insane transitions I've ever seen in MMA.

The way Jake would roll through everything was sick.

The most retarded post in the thread is always reserved for TCBK.

It was a sick fight. Another great grappling war was Hioki/Oliveira and I think that meets most of TS categories except for the bad blood part.

Sorry but it's hard to equate Paul Harris with chess.

In terms of recent fights Hioki vs Oliveira, while short, was incredible as well

Bocek is a really fun and talented grappler. I know he was another guy unhappy with drug testing in MMA.

3 unforced Bocek posts today. Fuck ya.
