Shields needs to be suspended for his actions last night

From falsely accusing Paul of eye pokes (in reality all those bruises n cuts were the result of elbows) to that punch after the fight has ended. Truly unprofessional n he should receive a stiff punishment

Agreed, Shields should be banned and fined

 

Regardless of how you thought the fight went, eye-pokes or not, you CANT punch a fighter after the fight is over. He definitely needs to be fined or suspended.

That being said, I think most of the "eye-pokes" were exagerated by Shields himself. I did see maybe 2-3 but 8? No. He was putting his hands infront of his face which I see many fighters do anyways.

 

Tito was fined 2.5k for throwing water at Stephan BoNer and flipping him off LOLOLOL!!!

Bottom line they should BOTH be fined. However, Paul Harris needs a fine that's much more steep. He was fined before from the UFC and he's still acting 'Cranky' after his opponents tap. Guy needs to lean a hard lesson for once.

 

Jake really shouldn't have done that. It makes his case look bad at makes him look like he's on Palhares's level. On the other hand it's not like anything would have been done anyway.

Paul Harris is just plain dirty. He purposefully and continually over holds his submissions. He should be suspended.

That of course doesn't absolve Shields. 2 wrongs don't make a right. I understand where Shields was coming from, but Paul Harris is going to seriously hurt someone on purpose.

 

He should be banned for a year and get some of his pay deducted because he never paid for his crimes in the GSP fight.

No. He held on for a few seconds. Mazz tapped him like 4 times and then started to pull him off when he let go.

 

I think a fine should be enough for Jake.

 

They both deserve discipline for the fight.

Maz should also never be allowed to ref palhares again, because he cannot control him.

 

Was kind of surprised to see Shields do it, despite who he runs with. I can't remember another time he was unprofessional in/after a fight. I remember that whole group got in a brawl at an event, don't remember if Shields was in it and don't even know how it started so don't really have an opinion on it.

But he has always conducted himself with class during his fights that I can remember. This seemed really out of character unless I am wrong and he has had bad attitudes after losses before. Obviously not to this degree but nothing in general sticks out to me thinking back.

 

Shields should just got a slap on the wrist fine IMO. Even though it was provoked it was definitely out of line. It's not like he has a history of this stuff though and I don't see him doing it again.

 

Just slap him on the wrist. It's a punch after the bell, but it's a punch from fucking Jake Shields after the bell.
