I haven't done one of these threads in a while, so I think it's the right time.

Rules:

Post up to ten of your favorite movie monologues (it can be one, it can be seven, just don't exceed ten)

After one week of voting I will post the results of the top choices with honorable mentions.

And if the thread does not catch on or tanks I'll just bury it and pretend it never happened.

Have at it men.

On an iPod atm & still can't figure out how to embed YouTube vids so I'll link'em up tomorrow.

Look at youtube link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAgSUFT4cVk

copy and past everything after "v="

put between [yt.] [/yt.] (minus the periods)

so that it's

[yt.](what you copied and pasted)[/yt.] (minus the periods inserted)

Then you get this when you post it

“I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody. Instead of a bum. Which is what I am. Let’s face it.”

Apropos.

Bill's Superman Monologue in "Kill Bill Vol.2" is the greatest monologue written for film in the history of ever.

start around 2 minutes

edit - start around 3:45....the question the professor asked was "what is the genius of the constitution?"

watch the whole clip though if you've never seen it - this is great

Great comedy speech.

One of the most iconic moments in a film already full of them

And this feels like a spiritual successor to the Cyrus speech from The Warriors (which some git beat me to )

Lol watch there's only one winner and it's by one vote.

Could do this all day. So many great ones.
