Yea, I'd take Saku/Royce out of there. I guess it was a HUGE deal at the time. I remember being so excited when I got the dvd and was finally able to watch it, even though I already knew the result.
Saku had several other great fights. His fight with Ebenezer Fontes Braga was excellent. Also his fight with Rampage, that was awesome.

Finally, I find it a little insulting to list the 10 greatest fights and completely leave out Igor V. Igor was a major player there and he had many great fights.

No. Shogun-Rogerio should be ranked higher on a list of best Pride fights than #6 is what I mean. More like top 3 IMO.

People saying Shogun v lil Nog WERE NOT watching those ppvs at that time, period. It was a cool fight on paper, but not a main event.. And it played out boring. Surprised it's in the top 10, actually. It was no bigger than sho v reem and that fight played out better. Sho v Arona getting vengeance for Wand with the jump kicks was also better than sho v lil nog. If you aren't over 32 and weren't actually watching, please just stfu on Pride Mkay first page. Fedor v Nog was big each time. Arona v wand rematch (and first) had a bigger feel than much of the top 10. Page v wand 1 was pretty big. Wand v Saku was bigger than most of that top 10. Hell, Gomi v Pulver was bigger than a couple of those IMO. Barnett v nog etc... List Shersog made is ok, but a bit off.. This threads first page analysis is worse.

That fight wasn't boring. Moran. I'm 31, was watching. Nothing was said about scope, anticipation, etc. Your comprehension skills are top notch, buddy.

Nog-Barnett 1 needs to be top 10, in anyone's book.

I was impressed that they had Wand-Page 2 as number 1. That is one of the greatest fights of all-tie. The fight, itself, is epic, and the intensity was through the roof. Also, the world championship (between what must've been 1 and 3 in the world back in Oct 04) gave it that extra prestige.

Also, it's good to see some appreciation for Nog-Crocop. That's my favorite fight and also one of the most important fights in history.

Nog - Cro Cop is too high. Two absolute legends but it wasn't the 3rd best fight in Pride. It was a great victory. Nog was almost embarrassed in the first round by Mirko and came out in the 2nd and got a nice and quick sub. With the amount of great back and forth, even and entertaining fights in PRIDE, I see that one being too high.
