So the rankings are:

1. Cain Velasquez (13-1)
2. Junior dos Santos (17-3)
3. Fabricio Werdum (19-5-1)
4. Travis Browne (17-2-1)
5. Mark Hunt (10-9-1)
6. Stipe Miocic (12-2)
7. Andrei Arlovski (23-10, 1 NC)
8. Vitaly Minakov (14-0)
9. Matt Mitrione (9-3)
10. Ben Rothwell (34-9)

Fair enough Mitrione is one a 3 fight win streak but it is only a little more than a year ago since he lost to unranked Schaub and all his wins since then have been over unranked opposition. Minakovs biggest victory is over Cheick Kongo who hasn't had a good performance against a ranked opponent for many years.

Compare that to Mir, who just beat the then number 8 ranked heavyweight and Overeem who just beat the number 9 ranked heavyweight and is on a 2 fight win streak and it just doesn't add up.

Mitrione and Rothwell number 9 and 10... A terribly shallow division.

i agree they are too high, but who else is there

Joke division...I'm more likely to go for a shit if HW's are fighting than if its a couple of women.

There are some that are ok like Cain, Hunt and Werdum. Other than that I agree with you. HW fights are super boring.

Wreck of a division but at least still somewhat competitive. Mitrione doesn't really deserve his position yet even though he's like the number 1 prospect of the division. (Yes a prospect).

I have no problems with Minakov being borderline top 10. #8 seems a little high though, considering he has been outside of top 10 and yet he's still inactive.

Potential-wise he can crack top 5 one day, but Bellator is killing its division with inactivity.

its ok, King mo will be taking Minakovs spot soon

i like how Mitchy got finished by Roy Nelson and Brendan Schaub but he's ranked above both anyway

the biggest problem in all combat sports: not enough talent in the division most want to watch

There's just not a lot of huge dudes that want to bash on each other, and those that do are probably not the most athletic/talented... Maybe a cruiserweight division might help? Dunno

Why the hate. the guys before you are the top fighters in the world. for me - i love watching the heavies bang away.

No one cares about rankings. Mir was 0-4 before he knocked out Bigfoot who himself had looked like shit the previous fights. It's subjective and an argument could be made for most. Unless you've got some sort of formula you're basically saying I prefer this guy over tgat guy.

It's awesome how in 2015 a 1-dimensional sprawl-n-brawler is a legit HW prospect.

Speaking of Sherdog's heavyweight rankings, I would like to know how JDS, who has lost twice already to the current champ, is ranked above Werdum, who is currently the interim champ.

Meathead ranked that high.....sad disposition of this division.
