Has anyone emailed any of the usual new outlets (mmajunkie, the yahoo guys) about the fake fight situation? It might be worth a shot--sports writers are always looking for something like this. I might do that after work....

If it's the same one I'm thinking of it looked kind of like a sparring match or something. No evidence that it was "fake" from what I remember? Was something revealed that I missed? Or are you just saying it's fake because you think it was fake?

they were hesitant to put any power behind punches

They claimed it was a professional fight. I agree it looked like a sparring match, and there was a reason it was unsanctioned. There is no rule against questioning the validity, but sherdog was likely worried about it going further and risking libel.

Asked about it in support, was happy with the responses, deleted that thread myself so to not make waves/

Whether real or not, Tom's actions were inexcusable. and he showed what kind of person he is. To see the difference between the way he explained on UG vs Sherdog based on the greater likelihood of running into real fighters was off putting to say the least.
