Would all of you dealers be interested in running a raffle for Sherdog? Since you guys get free advertising on this site and Sherdog is really cool about letting you guys post here, lets try to get something together to give back!
With the mod/admin's help, we could set up a raffle that could bring in a good influx of money to the 'Dog. I have seen this done on other boards that have 1/8th of the traffic as this one, and we raised quite a bit of money.
Here is how it would work. An admin would set up an email address and link the paypal account to it. Dealers (and anyone else who wanted to donate goods or services) can put certain things up for raffle. There should be quite a few small things like keychains, beanies, t-shirts, etc...Sherdog could offer something like Plat membership for 3 months, cheap DVDs, etc... And have one or two good things, like a Gi, DVD, Gloves, etc...
Now the Admins would make a new thread that shows what is up for grabs, the price of the raffle "tickets", instructions on how to buy the "tickets", and when the raffle ends. We did $1 tickets at the other board I was talking about, and had incentives if you bought a certain amount. Ie....buy 5 tickets, get 1 free, etc...
It would take a little bit of work for the admins to organize it, and I am not sure how to go about running the actual raffle (I didn't handle that part), but I think it could raise quite a bit of money for Sherdog.
What do you guys think?
