He’s old now. So he’s got that against him. But he walked toward Brock - former HW champ - with his hands at his waist. Brock doesn’t have the best boxing but when he lands it’s freaking lights out for most and Overeem was so much better he didn’t even feel the need to properly defend

If only more people thought like you and me, I hate the mentality of trashing someone else to show your devotion to another fighter. Kevin Lee did amazing against Barboza and found a lot of success on the feet outside of that Kick.
Beta's like TS just can't stand to see someone with the confidence Kevin Lee has back up what he's saying and dominate Edson like he said he would.

Some folks need to recognize that Khabib's takedown ability can also lead to nullifying a superior striker's standup. Barboza can't throw against Khabib the way he would against a one dimensional fighter like Conor for example because of fear of the takedown.

Khabib didn’t stand with Barboza like lee. He constantly closed distanced by bullrishing. He attempted twice as many takedowns in a 3 round fight than Lee did in 5.
Also, the wheel kicks didn’t land. There is a plethora of evidence and gifs that were posted after and they just missed

Rolling with a punch that lands is not the same as «eating» a punch while standing still. Khabib looked more comfortable in the striking leaving more room for proper defence while being agressive imo.

Lee beat the fuck out of barboza and finished him with grappling and gets shit on. Khabib doesn't finish barboza with his grappling..... Sherdog is like zomg Khabib's grappling and GNP are godlike.

Khabib and Lee both put on great performances against Barboza, no need to compare them. Hopefully one day we will see them fight.
The only thing I think we can know for sure... is that Khabib's chin is superior. He seems to regularly walk through big shots without getting affected, whereas Lee's chin scares me. That could play a factor if they fight.

Kind of apples and oranges. Khabib's more intensive forward pressure and TD threat limited Barboza's striking even more than Kevin's did. Lee at times was a bit more lax and gave Barboza a bit more freedom and space. Lee spent more effort in the striking to set up shots and takedowns while Khabib constantly pressed forward to work Barboza to the cage. The different approaches yielded different results.
The striking here had shown that Lee has a decent chin and recovery, and it's not like Khabib can pull off the same powerful strikes as Barboza. We don't know how Khabib's pressure will affect Lee in their fight.
