So after Jones was victorious on Saturday i had kinda realized that ive been following this sport for a long ass time and started remembering my origin story for joining Sherdog.

For those that don't know i started as a low key stocker on these forums way back in like 2009 maybe a little before..i had just started training at Randy Coutures gym here in Toronto canada and i found and use to come on sherdog ( the regular webpage) for one of my absolute favorite things to do following events which was to come find event fight pictures. I use to spend hours going through each fight shot..looking for the impact shots and big moments ..and then i found out about the forum and snooped topics and i never really joined and would just use sherdog for images and fighter records.. before the whole wikipedia stuff ..

Then i finally bite the bullet and joined in like 2012 i believe only to forget my credentials and i wasnt really a forum guy then so i didnt use it alot i dont even remember my original username lol..

Then i came back and never looked back...and oddly enough i dont look up fight pictures anymore...do people even do that anymore?

Whats your Sherdog Origin story??.

UFC 41 was the first ppv i ever bought and watched with my dad , i was following the sport since 2000 once i started to switch off from WWF by catching random Pride FC matches on late at night on some random channel full japanese audio ( i remember thinking wow japanese professional wrestling was really different till i seen a guy get Koed and knew then it was real and i was hooked) and UFC events my dad would buy after i would beg him leading up to tuf 1 i was in my early teens ...after TUF i watched everything i could get my eyes on even back to UFC 1 and brazilian Vale tudo and whatever MMa stuff i could find on ebaumsworld back in the day then YouTube and then Worldstar

Actually, I only joined Sherdog as a requirement for a sekrit mission I was on for the govurnment, and I kept it after the mission was successfully completed. Eventually, I got a Kumite invite from Frank Dux in my Sherdog DMs, and the rest is history.

I lurked around for a few years before joining, I thought it was nice content and never thought I would be part of any forum. Then I finally joined because I wanted to say some things.

Now I say some things am no longer a lurker.

I have dry humor and like to joke around.

That is all.

I basically got butthurt in the MMA thread of a football/soccer forum over douchebag Ubereem fans. I'd been lurking on Sherdog for a few months, but then the final straw came and I decided I needed to talk shit about Ubereem to a much wider audience of MMA fans

Started creeping here sometime in early 05 around the time of TUF 1 when I was in my highschool typing class, as I was young and wasn't aware of this sites existence before that. Ended up finding it through the fight finder. Got my start watching MMA by renting old UFC VHS tapes from block buster in the early 2000's in my early teens after doing martial arts through my childhood. My mother thought they were just wrestling tapes. Rented every single one Blockbuster had, think the first one i got was Ultimate Ultimate 96. Been here for my entire adult life.

It was a dark and stormy night. Lightening flashed, lighting my home in brief strobes of bright light. Thunder shook the home and rumbled like hundreds of soldiers marching on pavement. I was praying the power was not going to go out. I had spent 29.95 on UFC 40. Tito, Chuck, Hughes on the card. The next day I went to the webs to read what people were saying. A legend was born a few years later. A new Legend, or really, Legion was born several years later.
