first post on sherdog boards, I predicted a diaz win on other boards and was laughed at.

here were my reasons before and thoughts after.

reasons i predicted diaz would beat conor.

size, height, reach advantage.
same thing happened to Broner and Chavez jr when they tried to move up and take on naturally bigger men.
diaz sick stand up and world class jiujitsu combined with conors lack of a solid ground game.

thoughts after the fight

diaz has a granite chin but coupled with the fact that conors punches were not as devastating as they were when he outweighed naturally smaller men at 145.
I do not think conor can make 145 much longer which will take away his main weight and size advantage.
the extra weight and muscle were devastating to conors stamina, especially because he was swinging for the fences al night long.
conor needs to develop a strong ground game if he is going to compete at 155.
diaz has no business fighting at 170 there is a huge difference between conor at 170 and Robbie lawler at 170.

Agree with your thoughts on MCG fighting at 170, so many killers in that division.

Agree you sound like you were laughed at alot

Eddie bravo says his ground game is strong but he was half Koed by nate so couldnt do shit cos his head was fucked up. I dont know what to believe other than he needs to drop that guru who was ripping off yuppies and soccer moms for $700 a seminar for "movement" before he met conor. Do tried and true movement like 10-15 miles moving down a track every day. That plus "rounds upon rounds" which conor also mocks, will take him deeper into a fight.

Idk about his BJJ but he sure was half ko'ed

Conor is a white belt in jiu-jitsu. I do not think he can rely on his stand up at 155.

Hahahahaha fool, McGregor would KO Overeem. Why? 1) Overeem is only a HW because of horse meat, FACT. 2) Overeem's chin has DIED, RIP.

One left hand and it's over for Overeem. Does anybody think Overeem could take a McGregor left hand? Remember how bad Reem's chin is when answering that question and his natural size.

Rediculous. Conor is not a white belt. Nice sweep end of rd1. Thats some good guard play.
Junior Assuncao and Jim Miller are not white belts either just b/c Diaz subbed them too

Nate Diaz knows all about fighting mindset. He won't be intimidated by Conor, at all.

Conor will have his hands full if he's not able to KO Diaz early. I liked how Diaz didn't make predictions and said "we'll see". There was no lack of confidence in Nate when he said that. He's laying all the pressure on Conor, while Conor is unable to put that seed of doubt into Nate's mind like he has done with many previous opponents.

My pre-fight thoughts were there.

Post-fight thoughts: It's time for Conor to go back to being an auschwitz victim at the 145lbs weigh ins

I predicted Nate to win also. Conor needs to come up with a "plan B" if he can't KO his opponent in the first round, because after that, he has no cardio, no game plan, and no cannot absorb a punch from someone who supposedly doesn't have any power in his hands.

Has Cowboy chimed in on any of this?

He doesn't like Conor but he also felt Nate's wrath and looked mentally whipped. He can't attack Conor's performance.

Conor bit off more than he could chew, the man is an absolute beast when he drains down to Macaulay culkin at 145, let's see how he does at 155 against quality opposition.
