Holly Holm may have lost two fights in a row, but her star power from the Ronda Rousey win in November made her one of the biggest ratings draws in FOX UFC history.

The final three rounds of Holm's loss to Valentina Shevchenko from the United Center in Chicago drew 4,687,000 viewers, the fifth-best fight since UFC signed on with FOX in 2011. More impressive is that three of the four fights that beat that figure were during football season, when UFC ratings, because of the promotion during NFL games, are traditionally much higher. The only non-football season fight to beat that figure was the April 30, 2013 lightweight title fight where Benson Henderson won a close decision over Gilbert Melendez, which did 4,977,000 viewers during its peak quarter hour.

Overall, the show did a 1.8 rating and 2,975,000 viewers, making it the most-watched UFC event on television since the Jan. 24, 2015, show from Sweden which was headlined by Anthony "Rumble" Johnson beating Alexander Gustafsson. That show did a similar 1.8 rating and 3,049,000 viewers. It was the most-watched UFC fight and event ever held during the summer since UFC went on FOX in late 2011.

It's not a guarantee. Cain didn't necessarily become a PPV force despite beating the biggest draw in MMA history.

The answer to the poll depends on the perspective you're looking at. Nate is and will always be a bigger name than Holly, but that's not just because of his win over Conor.

But if you wanna know which victory had the biggest impact by itself, it's Holly over Ronda and it's not even close.

Nate didn't need Conor but Conor really helped his star power.

Holly beating Ronda was Holly's ticket to being a star.

Holly 'ish ish' Holm will never be a champion again, she lacks killer instinct, sidekicks won't win her fights. Everbody forgot that her first UFC win was SPLIT decision against mid tier girl with 5-6 record

Now after back to back losses her draw power mostly will evaporate. If she does lose a 3rd straight fight she'll be remembered as the buster Douglas of mma with no drawing power at all

Sorry to break this to you, but conor is the biggest ppv draw of all time, not brock. conor's ppv's have beaten brocks. Conor now holds the ppv record. and by a large margin. His fight against nate dwarfed brocks. And 202 is going to dwarf it even more.

The part about cain is correct. he's not a big draw, cause he's quiet and lacks charisma..

Have I missed something here? From what I am seeing Brock still has the bigger PPV.

There's only been a handful of UFC events on the flagship FOX network. The fact that it's still only the 5th best isn't really that great.

You can't make comparisons between FOX cards and FS1 cards. It's not realistically possible for an FS1 card to do FOX type numbers no matter who you put in the main event.

Holly and Nate are both very very good fighters. Silva lost how many in a row? He's still one of the greatest. Fuck dude...The "once in ever" Ronda who can beat HW men, Get's KO'd and quits MMA lmao! Nate has always be one of the best and always will be. Holly is the great female mma fighter.
