I haven't seen Uncut Gems but why does it seem to me Adam Sandler is made to play a Jewish Jeweler?

Why does it seem to me that Casino Royale was only chosen for the scene where 007 comes out of the water?:eek::eek:

Well... he actually is a Jew from Brooklyn. So there is that going for him.

For some reason calling Sandler a Jewish feels anti-semetic. Like we've pandered in caricatures or something.

Sigh... fine! I'll counter the gayz myself!

The film that is going to win is kinda a shocker to me, well, not really. I'm always amazed the club chooses the film I think will come in last. The film I usually put in as a throw away because everyone has seen it is generally always in contention for the win.

PLEASE WELCOME THE NEWEST MEMBER TO THE SMC!!!

It's a great flick. Always wished they'd done that sequel. Couldn't believe how good and unheralded it was back when first hitting cable.

In before: "God these people look young!" comments.:D

In the meanwhile, I've been
reacquainted with that old Bastard COVID19 so I'll be posting my review in a feverish delirium. (Seriously though I'm ok it's just like a mild cold... or maybe it IS a mild cold I dunno the home-tests were all booked-up)

And I'm actually watching Casino Royale right now.

Ha!

I'm honestly quite disappointing in the James Blond-era.

In Casino Royale he's supposed to be a fresh hot-blooded recruit but in Skyfall he's already a aged battleship whom everyone says should retire. Wtf? Pretty good movies though.

Quantom of Solance is easily the worst Bond movie ever made.

And Spectre was just a lame: "All these previous things are interconnected!" story.

And if I see that No Time To Die trailer one more time I think I'm going to screma.:D

I told you beforehand I felt Rounders would be in last due to everyone having seen it...multiple times. I'm pretty shocked there was little interest in both Hard Eight as well as Uncut Gems.

as well as Uncut Gems

Uncut Gems was really great actually. One of those films where things just escalates to an straight-out catastrophe.

Maybe people are afraid of Adam Sandler?

All terribly shit. But i pick rounders. You guys don't know good movies. Try stuff made prior to 1975...yeah there are a few gems after that...reservoir dogs for example but few and far between from golden ages of Hollywood.

I dug that movie.

Was super tense and nerve wracking the whole time.
