Sherdog Is Too Cluttered And Here Is The Solution

@loisestrad has 9116 posts and 3090 likes roughly 30% which means more people care what this person posts hence level 2.

I made most of my posts before the concept of likes was introduced.

Your system is seriously flawed.

Fuck your system.

TS needs to

"Make Sherdog Great Again !"

Just do this

Tier 1: People with more likes than posts, people who think Dan Miragliotta should be in prison, people who like any of the following fighters: Frank Mir, Andrei Arlovski, Alexander Gustafsson, JDS, Crocop, Wanderlei Silva, Chael Sonnen, Ben Rothwell, Michael Bisping

Tier 2: hardcore Conor fans, "USADA is ruining the sport" people, people who use the terms "salty" and "hater"

Tier 3: People who think fights in the UFC are fixed, people who still deny that Shogun tapped to strikes, people who think Brock Lesnar is natty, people who think Dana White isn't hilarious

Do I fit in tier 1 or tier 2 under this scheme? I fit some of the criteria for both.

There are too many worthless posts and worse yet, not actual posts but just pictures and gifs with no words from the poster included. In order to keep people from having to scroll past unsubstantial post after insubstantial post, Sherdog should have 3 levels.

The first level would be for posters who have the mentality to post something as irrelevant as a picture from a teen soap opera as an entire post or to post something as worthless as "Didn't read"! Those posts have no intellectual substance and only clutter the forum. For people whose capabilities are so low that those types of posts are pretty much all they can do, put them in level one.

The second level would be for posters who are making a sincere attempt at writing posts with intellectual substance but fall short anyway. The test determining which level a poster should be in should be an I.Q. test. People who legitimately try (unlike level one posters) but just aren't too smart should be in level two.

Level three would be for posters who have scored at least 130 in the I.Q. test and don't waste people's time with posts such as "Didn't Read LOL" or posting a picture of something unrelated to MMA with no words from the poster with which to give the post some intellectual substance.

This system would weed out the vast majority of posts that serve to do nothing but clutter the forum for the serious posters who have the ability and desire to write quality posts.

haha! Do an IQ test to post on a forum.....I'd probably just leave if that was the case. I mean with all the serious shit in the world maybe its good to have something a bit low brow going on?

OP, while that may be a good solution for you, it sucks.

Let's say your idea gets implemented. Guess what??? Sherdog will have 50-100 members that will want take the time to take the test, let's say they all pass it. Sherdog is down to 100 members. Now, you see all the ads all over sherdog?? How do you think sherdog operates?? How do you think the staff get paid?? Where do you think funding comes from??

Useless posts and users, while worthless to you, they're a needed evil to the community and to sherdog for the IP hits.

All this bitching about IQ this and IQ that, yet you lack a simple understanding of advertising.
must've skipped the economics part of his IQ test

OF course they do but that's beside the point. What does that have to do with anything? I'm not talking; I'm writing. Don't you know the difference?
Dude you are not obligated to read every shit post. Just take what you like and move on. If you take Sherdog this serious there are some internal problems going on over there.

Given your own guidelines, wouldn't you be relegated to the second level for posting this thread?

The solution is much more simple than that: instruct the Mods to actually follow the existing rules about shit-posting, flaming, fighter bashing etc.

I guarantee that within 3-4 weeks, the trash will be cleared out an discussions will increase in quality.

Nonsense. The only thing you'd see is a wave of new join dates 3-4 weeks later.

Remove the "Like" button would be a start
this is actually counter productive.
you will probably remember that before this people had to quote the message and write "hahahahah".... these were the real "worthless" posts.
