After looking through everything, i rank S&P and grappling training as the 2 best forums on sherdog. This is based on careful scientific research otherwise known as SWAG (scientific wild ass guess)
- quality of topics
- knowledge of members
- close-knit group or family environment

The purpose was mainly b/c it is unbelievably slow in here today and i have approx 80 more minutes until weekend freedom

Cheers

I would definitely have to agree, those are my favorite forums on here. The people are really knowledgable and willing to help, unless you be a newb and dont read the faqs.

word

Im really disapointed in the stand up forum in particular. The moderators and a couple posters in there are awesome, but the majority is god-awful. All sorts of posts about learning the death touch and how Chuck Liddel could, oh my god, totally Pwn mike tyson

The boxing forum is really good also. A lot of people in there really know their shite

Yeah, quite a few tards in stand up.

Its the way it goes I'm afraid.

Here people tend to all reply to the 'how can I look like...' type threads in unison flaming. Keeps the noobs and unintelligent away (atleast makes them read up on stuff lest they be humiliated)

Totally agree, right now S-P is definitively ahead on the "personality" level, awsome collection of people in here right now. Grade is a B+ (but oftenly fluctuating up to a A+) combined with unlimited potential.

On topic however grappling beats S-P at the moment, lots of really interesting and helpfull threads in there for some time now, and in here it have been slightly stale on the lifting department... Grade is an A- (and oftenly fluctuating downwards with all that judo contra bjj bullshit)

Conditioning is like the un-sexiest forum ever. Really fucking un-inspired forum, feels as hot as a maraton runner on meth... And its a damn fucking shame since conditioning is such a key factor in mma training... Its a D- (seriously go to rosstraining.com instead)

Striking forum is a whery whery mixed bag, awsome posts hidden with a lot of bullshit, typical thread is a tuf-kiddo starts a thread dissing some tma and then the pissing is on, uninspired. Grade is a regular C

Perhaps some day I will man up and realise what a brilliant forum the diet forum is. Its suposed to be the bomb.

Multimedia gives me pleasure. Or was it the big butt thread2 I dont quite remember. A solid A

The other of topic forums is like some weird fucking planet where either everyone is eating shit for breakfast while they buttfuck their granny or they are some religious freak stuffing a bible down your throat. F- (this fucking scale goes fucking low)

Sprechen ye Zive, home to the pimp Mistag threads (curently at 3) A motherfucking plus

Main forum, how low can you motherfucking go. A good post here and there but it is like some endless fucking flood of shit that pulls everything down. You post in a thread and 3 seconds later there are a million new retarded coments posted. Grade is a retarded chipmonk that forgot to take its ritalin.

That is my grades for this forum after spending to much time here when I actually schould be writing shit...

By main forum, do you mean the UFC/Pride forum? if so, youre right, it is fucking awful.

I think the main disapoitn ahs to be the stand up forum though. Guys like king, brandon, and vilo are all really knowledgable and its too bad they have such garbage to work with

Yeah I mean the heavyweights forum, ufc and pride.

Sub in D&S for Grap and your dead on. Tons of info in there. It's been stagnent lately, but the locals know thier shit, and are most helpful and insightful.

VIVA LA S&P and P&M!

Vote goes to S+P and G+E .Those are the 2 I always touch base on as it were. The rest I drop into and normally come away disappointed..

That is freakin' awesome, how I did'nt know that one is beyond me.

Nah, seriously, this place is so much better than most of the rest of the forums in this place, I've pretty much quit even going into the mma discussion forum, too full of retards. Grappling is also pretty good, Aesopian is doing a great job over there, but the endless judo vs bjj threads are starting to make me want to kill someone. D&S is decent, I should go there more and really sort out my diet a bit better.

Damn - the WSM used to be so much cooler

If Kazmaier has any sort of peripheral vision, he must be able to see or sense Capes, stalking about at the back there with the job done, which must be a sickener for the big man

Disturbing thing is, both my parents and grandparents recognised Geoff Capes instantly, how many strength atheletes would your average schmo in the UK recognise today?

Geoff Capes = awesome

Guy knocked himself out with a caber to the face in front of the queen, came back later in the contest and won.

The old WSM used to have steel bending and phonebook tearing, why the hell did they get rid of those?

Got a vid of that? Just found WSM sumo wrestling. Mildly disturbing. Log wrestling was cool though.

No, sorry, only saw it when he guested on Scrapheap challenge, so it's out there somewhere.

Actually for me the Training Log sub-forum is the best one on Sherdog, then S & P, then Grappling.

The MMA forums are horrific. I came on Sherdog one night and there were literally 1000's of posters in the main MMA forum, 6 in Grappling, and 4 in S & P. Yeck.

Eh, maybe it's best kept a secret. "Call some place paradise, and you can kiss it goodbye..."

I don't believe I've ever even been in the MMA forum.

Mayberry is alright, but the fundies are getting annoying, no matter how thoroughly the godless sodomites pwn them.

S&P is fun and highly informative. Conditioning could be too but you're all too fat and slow, and most there, myself certainly, can only speak from personal experience rather than the kind of formal knowledge base that lifters have.

The Boxing Fourm is really good if you are a boxing fan and the K-1 is decent...it's extremley slow there. MMA Fourms are awful.
