Media Shaun leaves MMAfighting

Done the same with Nate Diaz both were really great reads, i was going to say his long-form articles are great reads.

My abiding memory of al-Shitty is when he came close to bursting into tears on the site’s post-fight show after McGoof KO’d Aldo. He was so excited that he was on the verge of tears and his voice cracked. He had to take a moment. Pathetic.

Shaun wrote this article on Aldo which is probably the best MMA article ever written: https://www.mmafighting.com/2015/11/27/9798748/the-night-we-faced-jose-aldo-ufc-194-conor-mcgregor

Talks about how scared people were to fight Aldo and their experiences fighting him!

"It was unbearable pain. I’d probably say easily one of the most painful moments of my life was the freaking days after the fight.

The hardest weapon in your body that you could throw, if you’re throwing it right, would be your shin. At this velocity and speed and projection and all the weight behind it in your leg, that’s easily the most damaging weapon if used correctly. And that dude (Aldo) will, like, cut your muscle. He’ll cut it to where you’ll bleed inside of your leg internally — to where, to this day, man, my knee will still swell up and have fluid in it. It still has cartilage all out of place because Jose ripped so many of the muscles in my leg. So much blood was draining into my knee after the fight that they kept having to syringe the blood out of my knee for almost two months."

A casual fan of fighting or a casual fan of MMA journalists?

I am a hard-core and knowledgeable fan of MMA, I have never heard of him either... however I am not a fan of journalists. It's good you are such a fan of reporters though, I supposed someone has to be, but saying someone isn't a fan of the sport if they don't know the journalists reporting on it is silly.

This, being a fan of MMA doesn't mean you have to follow the soap opera drama of journalists who only report on the sport because they wish they could have been in there doing it.

Oh my god, he got caught up in the moment of one of the most surprising/biggest ko's in ufc history?!

He had an EMOTIONAL reaction?!

What a loser!

Considering how Vox treated Front Row Brian after he exposed they had a convicted child and animal porn fanatic working as an MMA reporter, I can’t give a fuck about their company.

Sorry, what?

Who are you talking about? I've never heard anything about this.

I actually read that as "just call people drunk" and though... "hey there's a job for me!"
Then I reread and I am not so happy anymore.
Maybe be a bartender. You could criticize the folk you helped get liquors up

Front Row Brian. Eminent MMA commentator. He exposed Vox and publicly asked questions of what their management knew of Iain Kidd’s criminal behaviour and when. Vox responded to this scrutiny by getting him banned from Twitter. Fuck that crew.

He’s supposed to be a professional.
