Going to the video store every Friday night just to find out the one copy of this was still out.

We had a whole bookshelf of encyclopedias.

In 2000 I had to walk to a phone store to call home. You sat in a sound proof booth (one of many) to talk to mom and dad.

I dont know how they did it but a friend had an arcade machine with black and white porn on it in 1987.

Took longer to do term papers and other things that required vetted info from multiple sources.

I remember calling my parents collect on a payphone after some practices and games and when they asked what your name was I would say "pick me up"

Who has played that computer game where its like multiple choice and your answers depict the outcome? There were some books like that but this computer game was in my elementary school. Oregon trail or something like that.

Its like your in the wagon train days and have to make your way to the West. Ppl would die of starvation and cold.

Lol...

Here it is

Not seen this but I am going to check this out now!

To think there must be a generation of lads who have no idea how hot a young Pamela Anderson was!

What level of off the grid were you?

Lol....not everybody off the grid is the Unabomber.

That mans intelligence caused him to go crazy though. He's not the only one. Weird thing the brain.

Love still existed, playboys were exciting as hell, and we (white teens, not just black like I see now around here) walked miles to girls houses and had adventures.

The adults in marketing didn't have as much influence over us.. We decided what we liked. We were outside and out with people every day. Our YouTube videos were telling stories and reinacting funny movie scenes out in the driveway.. How fat your face looked in a selfie didn't decide how cool you were, you had to actually be "cool," and able to be funny, and able to scrap etc..

we finally ended up getting a copy of it from our buddy’s stoner brother.

I remember not being told to look everything up, and people actually answered questions.

Now when I explain things, I'm an asshole man (though I'm not pushy). But before the internet, people didn't mind explanations.

Remember when you could argue in public without it going online?

Having a breakdown at the grocery store was so much more relieving knowing that you were only effecting the 20 people near you.

Less people held their dumbass opinions so high.

You didn't know everyone's fucked up opinion, so you could actually like someone who is a little fucked up.

You only got harassed by phone and mail.

The good old spank bank was the go-to.

Home phones were huge part of your life, and long distance calls were the bane of your existence.
