Some nice stuff about my boy Shogun:

Was 10-0 in Muay Thai matches before entering MMA. All thai matches were in Brazil and Mauricio finished all his opponents via KO.

Has had 3 ACL reconstructions on the same knee (left one). A total of 7 surgeries cause of fighting (elbow, shoulder, ear and nose.)

His true height is 1.82m or 5.11' 1/2. Weight about 225, 230 lbs: 103, 104 kilos.

Began training in Muay Thai at 16, BJJ at 17.

Was first time world champ in pride at 23 years old, than at 28 years old in the ufc.

Participated in the main event of the first UFC on FOX, against Chael Sonnen

His 2nd bout against Dan Henderson was the last bout ever to have a sanction for TRT use.

Got married in september 2007, just 2 weeks before his UFC debut bout against Forrest Griffin.

Rashad Evans is 1 of 9 children. Worked in security for a hospital prior to his MMA career. His brother Lance Evans also competed on a TUF season.

Ali aka Cassius Clay aks the GOAT died this year He was a few years younger than Bruce Lee so maybe 75?Ali won gold Olympic medal for boxing(obviously) in 1960

Faber, Castillo, Gil, Jake and Munoz use to train at Fairtex SF with Cariaso, Diaz Bros, Smith, DT, and Irvin, amongst others.. Smith and Irvin were an original part of TAM and Ultimate Fitness.

Sheilds heads out to Blackzillians to train at times.

Nick and Nate Diaz are actually a part of Gracie Fighter/Team Black. Skrap Pack is Gilbert's fight team out of his gym El Niño. Gilbert and Jake represent Skrap Pack but are a part of Team Gracie Fighter. Joe Schlling isn't the only top level Kickboxer Gracie Fighter trains with, as Team Black has Bolanos, Ross, etc.. Pro Boxer Karim Mayfield has sparring sessions with Skrap Pack. Diaz Academy and Team Alpha Male train together.

Rumble use to train at AKA, so did Cung Le. Liam and Phil Davis go to AKA to help out with fight camps for Pro Fighters. Shields and Koscheck have sparred before at AKA Pro sparring bitd, which was a sparring session that was said to be "epic". BJ Penn use to train at AKA.
