    Pro Football Hall of Famer and star of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed's Shannon Sharpe has commented on Conor McGregor beating Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds at UFC 246. He gives Conor credit for the win. However, Shannon thinks Cerrone has been fighting for too long and doesn't see Conor being able to beat UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. What are your thoughts on this?

    'Cowboy Cerrone has fought a year and half to 2 years too long?'

    Wow

    <30>

    Cerrone just fought Tony, Justin and then Conor in a row. Perhaps if he wasn't being fed to killers out of his prime he would do alot better. He did win 3 in a row before this.

    People will hate because he isn't an "MMA expert" like Ariel or Luke Thomas, but he's right. Beating Cowboy isn't in the same stratosphere as facing Khabib.

    He’s right Cerrones better days are long gone.

    He’ll just keep getting brain trauma for a check though.

    Look at cowboys record. That's why people think he's been in it to long. He hasn't been doing good for some time.

    I agree. A welterweight wouldn't be able to take the lightweight champs title.

    These talking heads don't know anything about MMA. They're shows for the unemployed, lazy bums of America. There's a reason they come on when we're all at work, their fanbase is poor and uneducated.

    Both Shannon and Skip thought Cowboy was 190-200lbs on fight night...

    @fightfan84 he's 4-4 in his last 8 fights

    He was being fed to contenders in his last 3 fights

    He shouldnt have been fighting Justin or Conor but the UFC fed him to the wolves

    I was ok with the Tony fight because he won 3 straight and Tony needed an opponent

    Obviously Cowboy is out of his prime but he's still capable of beating top 10 guys, not top 5.

    To say he should be retired 2 years ago is retarded

    The man loves to fight , he should be fighting bottom half of the top 10 like Felder, Hooker, Barboza ECT

    What WW are you talking about? Conor couldn't take Khabib's title if he was allowed to weigh in at 170 and Khabib had to do the cut to 155.

    He's lost 6 of his last 10 fights actually. Don't by the hype
    He still has ways to win fights of course and he's entertaining. But he's no where near the top anymore.

    Never said he was near the top or a contender or in his prime. Read what I wrote instead of making things up as you go

    He also beat Lawler imo and was fighting in the wrong weight class
