Part of Briggs' problem is that he wants a bunch of light meals (guys like Greer) and then calls out Wlad.
Aside from when he fought Sergie L and Ibragimov, he never seemed like the guy who wants to work his way up to getting a title fight.

A guy like Tony Thompson does things to earn his shots at it.
But Briggs seems to want none of that. He wants to beat a bunch of 17-8 fighters and then get pissed that he can't get a match with a Wlad.

Briggs v Abraham Okine was a funny fight.

Okine came into that fight with an undefeated record and an attitude to match.

But as soon as he got punched by Briggs he looked scared. Beating an older than old Tony Tubbs and list of nobodies did nothing to prepare him in that first meaningful step up.

I was surprised he came out of the corner going into the 2nd round.

Briggs first fight back against Maurenzo Smith looked like they threw together a ring in the middle of a banquet room in some hotel.
Just people standing around the ring watching him fight some goon.
Id be surprised if they even had chairs at the event.
