He tweeted: "American Sniper kind of reminds me of the movie that's showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds."

    What is your reaction?

I havent seen the movie but i seriously despise american hero movies of today (except throwback ones like expendables)..

I loved the cheesy ones from the 80s-90s though, Jason Bourne doesnt holds a candle to retired, single father Col. John Matrix.

So from talking to people that have seen the film he made this judgment without seeing the film, meanwhile he makes a movie about killing a leader.

Sound like Liam Neeson talking shit about guns and the U.S. while making his big money from both.

However I support their right to make stupid ass comments and encourage them to speak their "mind" as it makes it easier to see how big of hypocrites they are.

I though it was documented in the movie that Fredrick Zoller did indeed, kill all those people.

I've only seen one commercial for it a few times, but it looks like a story about a morally-conflicted sniper doing a job that he doesn't want to do.

The tagline "The most lethal sniper in US history" is straight up trash though, and does nothing to prove Rogen wrong.

To be honest, when I first saw the preview, I instantly though about that part of inglorious bastards. It looks like it's more comparable to the film Inglorious Bastards however than the propaganda film as Eastwood likes to critique society's interest in violence.

Yea, it's kinda BS on his part. I think he was trying to be funny cause you know, that's his job. It fell flat and is likely being taken too seriously.

I could be wrong though. Maybe The Interview is going to start an unpleasant change with Rogen where he projects himself as an intellectual at times

Yes, I'm sure American Sniper is a celebration of people being sniped just like the fictional propaganda film. Bravo, Seth.

    Observe and Report was hilarious

This is the End was okay too, just a bizarre plot but still funny

Didn't see the Interview yet but it might be a miss from what I read.

It's amazing how few people divine this. This has been the great thematic undercurrent of all his films going back to at least Unforgiven.

This is the end was ok. The last 45 min ruined it for me. The first hour was hilarious.

I think he likes that many don't notice. It's like he is mocking his audience. Exactly like the Nazi's in the theater going ecstatic over the sniper killing troop after troop.
