The most effective strategy would be to run and hit, repeat for 5 rounds.
Real fighting tactics are boring, dangerous and not meant to be for entertainment.
Example: Krav Maga uses a lot of small joint manipulation, groin kicks, eye pokes, headbutts etc...
All techniques that I would never want to see in MMA or any other combat sport.
I have more respect for Willie Pep using his footwork to circle of the ropes than other fighters who can just run from the fence to the center of the octagon.
It's a fight in the end, and they should be forced to fight.

I agree with you, there are enough already!
I would gladly remove some rules, but we live in a society where, in order for us to enjoy MMA fights, there needs to be rules
