Serious question about Nate Diaz

God forbid, but if Nate Diaz was using medical marijuana when he got the call, and then he is random tested today, what happens? Does he have a clause or something that gives him some immunity since he was out of competition, minding his own business until he got the call?

I would hope short notice fighters have a "get out of jail free" card in the case of weed and weed alone. What are your thoughts shebros and shergals?

The only time you can test positive for it is fight night, and those results don't come out until 3-4 weeks after the fight. So if he pops, it will be long after the fight.

That Jeff Newistski(sp) guy who heads the UFC drug testing program said with the thresholds of the tests you can smoke as much as you want all the way up 1-2 days before the fight and you will still be under the legal limit for USADA so it's a non-issue

Much like the NFL. They are tested randomly now for PEDs but you know the test for street drugs is during training camp and not the rest of the season. So if you just don't fail when you know you're going to be tested you can smoke all season long. That's why it's an idiot test
