Watching boxing was the first combat sport I grew up watching, and paid for plenty of ppvs. I can be the first to say I have wasted more money on boxing matches than MMA..easily.

Here's the difference.. when I watch mma matches, I watch with friends, while getting hamemred and playing poker. The ufc cards are just a reason to get together...
When I watch a boxing match, I don't want any distractions.

One is decent entertainment.. the other is a sport that I am absolutely fixated on.
