I think Alex cecares-lee Roy would be an awesome first fight espicially with cecares coming off a win. Coming up from flyw I think cecares will test him both stand up and on the ground. Thoughts? Or any other suggestions for a first fight?

Bruce Leroy deserves a better opponent than a 20 year old making his debut even if that 20 year old is super talented.

. I do agree cecares may be a little bit of a step up for Sergio Pettis but who would you suggest then? It must be another new signee tht I've never heard of. But the only way to jusify hype is to put him in there with a name. I love cecares but let's be honest he's not even close to a gatekeeper level at this point.

Why do you want to "test" a prospect who just turned 20 and is making his octagon debut? Gotta rush him into a title fight at 21 before he's over the hill? They should be taking their time with him. Rushing would be counter-productive, possibly making him incur more damage before he's ready. Leroy has been better than his last 6 opponents. He should be receiving a gatekeeper, not a kid prospect. And Sergio should be receiving a name past his prime, like Kid Yamamoto, a fellow prospect, like Junior Hernandez, or established lower level guy like Vaughan Lee. Then he should be taking on 1 or 2 of the losers from TUF. The next year or two in Sergio's career should be about development and building hype, not testing him to rise up the ranks.

I'm trying to think of the worst possible BW on the roster. I want them to build Sergio up.

They will probably bring someone in to fight him...

Or maybe he gets Ramiro Hernandez who is probably the worst BW in the UFC.

Hopefully he gets babied for his first 2-3 UFC fights. Maybe he fights a few of the guys from this seasons TUF as well.

He already has fought at bw, and won. He beat Prince Albert. But that choice would still suffice.

He has the benefit of being able to learn from Anthony's mistake in his octagon debut. Sergio would work for a sweep or get up. Throughout his 9-fight career, I don't remember long periods where he stayed on the bottom. People are being reactionary to one fight where he got taken down a couple times, and then dictated the action from the bottom, eventually sweeping.

It would be an adequate choice (although I still think too dangerous), but he's already booked on the same card against El Goyito.

That's definitely too dangerous. He straight ko'ed Reuben Duran, and has the tdd to keep the fight from going to the ground if he's winning the stand-up.

Meza, Hernandez, Lee, or Kimura would make sense I think.
