Aight. So I'm one of those guys that have a sensitive nose. When the weather changes (gets too cold / dry) I tend to get random nose bleeds.

I've been doing a lot of sparring lately and whenever I get a nice pop in the nose I tend to bleed. It doesn't bother me but it sure is annoying!

You guys have any solutions / tips to prevent this?

I've heard people say polysporin or vasiline the inside of my nose. Anything else to prevent this?

I have the exact same problem. What I would do is make an appointment with your doctor, he/she will refer you to a nose specialist and he will do something to ur nose where he burns it (something like that im no doctor so i dont know) It worked for me for a little while but if it bleeds again go back and do the same thing.

i hope the proceedure isnt expensive or at least is very effective at stopping the bleed, i wouldnt want to have to go to the specialist more than 2x a year

chemical cauterize of the nose. Frequently it has to be done more than once. I think I had mine done 4 times. Your capallaries are just too close to the surface.

I was the same way, I could get a half way decent hit to the nose and it would explode and bleed big time.

i had the same problem

a light jab would cause a nose bleed. But after several months of sparring and training, it doesnt bleed much at all when i get hit with a jab.

but then again ive gotten better head movement:icon_chee

Don't have a lot to offer to the TS other than my own experience, here. I was the same way, and it wasn't even a matter of being triggered by "a nice pop". I'd get bloodied from a little slap jab and come home every night with the right shoulder of my shirt almost entirely drenched from wiping at my nose.

Eventually, though, it just... stopped? Whether that is a consequence of me having shorn up my defence and avoided taking a clean shot to the face as often, or whether it the problem has righted itself somehow, I took no action to fix it and it seems to have remedied itself.

I have a constant "whistle" in my nose these days, to the point where people occasionally ask me if I have a cold, because the sound (and sometimes the feeling) is that my nose is all clogged up. I can actually feel a bit of bone/cartilage that is out of place.

Just sharing experiences.

O damn sry... lol i live in Canada i dont need to pay for no doctor

Slip.

///half-kidding. I've got crappy head movement and a pointy nose, so I'm in the same boat. I got a top & bottom mouthguard with the air hole, and I just suck wind through that the whole fight while the nose trickles.

Other than the cauterize, I don't know of a fix.
