Senate adjourned on November 18 without passing any COVID relief

I don't agree here. The Dems love their big money donors just like the GOP but the GOPs hate of the poor and cutting of anything that might help the less fortunate is on a whole different level.
Obama wanted to cut social security until Sanders threatened to primary him. Pelosi didn't want another stimulus check because it could have been perceived as helping Trump. The DNC platform committee voted against adding Medicare for all to their platform.

If you want to say the republicans have a few degrees higher distain for non-rich people, I won't disagree but to say the republicans are alone is not correct.

The GOP is much more than a few degrees higher when it comes to disdain for the non rich.

Impressively retarded. Do you mean cut federal taxes, or did you not know there is a difference between state and federal taxes? If you wanted federal taxes cut, that's a republican position and you should have voted accordingly.

SALT deductions go the other way. Furthermore, it's democrat cities in otherwise red states where individuals take the federal welfare benefits, so take that away from them and see how long the democrats keep any house seats or senate votes in those districts. Hell, you might actually get the federal tax cuts you're asking for if they tried it.

"If you wanted federal taxes cut, that's a republican position and you should have voted accordingly."

Why don't you go ahead and finish that incomplete thought?

If you wanted federal taxes cut, which takes the form of peanuts to the middle class, the lion's share to those who don't even need it, and furthermore expires for the aforementioned middle class in 4 years, at which time taxes will need to be exponentially raised to pay for A) those permanent ultra-wealthy class tax cuts B) Trump's 33% increase to the already ridiculuous federal debt and C) an 18% increase to a military budget that was already 3 times higher than China, India, Russia, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, and Brazil's military budgets combined.

Let's also not forget that those taxes are also going to be raised thanks to the GOP voting to completely remove discretionary spending limits, or any oversight thereof, for themselves and the Pentagon. I guess they were getting a little too uncomfortable having to make up excuses about the largest, most expensive, and most sophisticated military in the world routinely just "losing money" because of an archaic accounting system, or so they say. Trillions upon trillions of dollars, just vaporized. "Unaccounted for" as they like to say.

Last, since guys like you like to get so upset over social welfare spending, which, in aggregate, amounts to about $50/year in federal tax liability per individual, I can't imagine the look on your face when you find out that the government spent 5x as much on subsidies, no bid contracts, corporate grants, and tax incentives intended to social the cost for private profiteers.

Now, amazingly, we just covered almost the entirety of the GOP's accomplishments with nearly 4 years of control and a Republican president. Tax cuts, military spending through the roof, breaks and incentives for themselves, and that's about it.

Or, maybe you could provide a list of actual legislation, or policy, the GOP has enacted or supported over the last 4 years. Amazing accomplishments.

Leonardo thought it seemed like a good time for a break. This is at least the third break since passing the biggest upward transfer of wealth in the history of mankind. Most Americans are lucky to get one vacation.

Doesn't seem as if Congress cares about:
  • 3.5 million households are not at all confident in their ability to eat the week before Thanksgiving
  • 6 million Americans missed rent or mortgage payments in September
  • 30 million people in this country are at risk of eviction
  • 742,000 Americans filed for unemployment (the worst week of the great recession was 665,000)
  • North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) distributed more than 600,000 lbs of food in less than a week
  • 189,000 new Covid cases and 2,065 deaths across the U.S. yesterday
  • 12 million will lose unemployment benefits after Christmas
  • 8 million have slipped into poverty since May

It wouldn't be a be a-thing-where-nothing-is-getting-done without Ocasio-Cortez hotdogging and grandstanding. Someone mention to her that the Dems control the House and could pass a bill anytime that they want.

The Dems already passed a bill.

And people say I throw my vote away voting Green. Unlike you suck hacks I know these two parties don't give a fuck about anyone but donors which is they immediately fell all over themselves to transfer trillions to the corporations in the CARES act then went on multiple vacations while US remained a festering petri dish with the pandemic raging and people are losing legacies, stores, businesses, land. apartments, homes.

What is this rambling diary entry? You been drinking?

I responded to another poster who suggested states "keep their money", by explaining that would necessarily mean lowering federal taxes and letting states raise theirs if they want. No idea how you thought any part of the essay you just wrote is related to that.

The senate does nothing. No surprise here
Would be s good time to call on the super rich such as the Walmart heirs, Jeff bezos, Bloomberg etc to give people some help. Hats the point in being super rich if you can't help people out under extraordinary circumstances

True, the left loves the poor. They serve a purpose so long as they are kept poor.

Perhaps they should just eat cake?

Relief = Giving people and businesses the right to fully opening with no restrictions.

And that's the best relief the American people could get.

Mayors and governors, it's time to stop the mandates, the American people can manage their own safety.

The GOP loves the poor redneck vote. They're just not bright enough to not vote against their own best interests.

This isn't a pissing contest. They're both rotten from the core is what he's telling you. One is the lesser of two evils, but they're both extremely evil.

Can we all agree that nobody in most of the federal government gives two shits about the American people really. Let alone Sherdoggers? They just want votes and to control the populace. We are just their playthings at this point.

This country is not a democracy or a republic, its a country where a small handful of elites do whatever they want.

That's because we're living in a gilded age.
