Crime Sen. Kelly Loeffler Sold Millions in Stock After Coronavirus Briefing

How is anyone defending this.
Un-fucking real.

Isn't it obvious? They share political leanings with the person. We see people defending politicians doing scuzzy things in here every day based, if we're being honest, on them being an R or a D. If Trump did end up shooting someone on the street people would be in here defending that too.

My ignorance and stance on the stock market being a rigged scam pays off once again.

Right, left, I hate the partisan hackery.

Dwight agrees

Do I get yellows if I add a logo from a famous pornsite on the right corner?

Worth $500 million. Sold $1-2 million in stocks. Not trying to downplay it, but I'm honestly not sure how significant this is. I've read insider trading is only illegal if the insider information would cause a big change in the stock prices and if it is unknown to the public. So you would have to make the case that whatever these lawmakers knew at the time was significantly different than what was available publicly. I'm not sure if that's the case or not. Some people have been preaching how dire the situation was from the beginning.
Um, did you read the OP?
She has been unloading millions of dollars in stocks following a private all-senator meeting with administration officials and heads of the CDC and NIH. On that very day, she tweeted this:

serious ?
had they held a conference giving out the info publicly that the CDC and NIH gave them...

could they have THEN sold the stocks?
b/c then it's not insider knowledge?

I'm pretty certain that "they" told the public one thing, and privately, acted in a completely different manner.

Some of you guys seem to be ok with that simply because no laws were broken, but I personally don't see how that makes a good public servant.

I'm not OK with it
i'm just wondering if they HAD given the public the same info, could they then have sold it?

b/c it's not insider at that pt? or do they have to wait for info from SEC reports

meanwhile she was dumping stock

Not only did she dump stock, the only stock she bought in that time period was Citrix. The kind of stock you buy if you think a bunch of people will be working from home in the near future.

All 5 should fucking resign.
War profiteering is considered treason.
If support these 5 staying on you are essentially supporting China

according to this interview, her trades come exclusively from a third party advisor and that the purpose of using an advisor instead of her own discretion is to preempt questions about use of insider information.

but that doesnt rule out that she could have tipped the advisor with what she knew.

markets trade on news in general and even more so during a crisis, so you can bet insiders are making bank on these daily swings. not sure if this particular trade is actually an example of that, though.

Even Fox news isn't defending this. Sherdog partisan hacks confirmed.

We won't see a democrat senator in jail, but it doesn't look like just saying "I'm innocent" is enough to make this go away. We'll see if they even get fined a dollar out of this.
I'm sure Trey Gowdy and all the hard working Benghazi investigators could spend 2 years and $7 million to sort this out

Lol @ people defending this.

politicians and Wall Street pulled their money out while blowing smoke up the general public asses for weeks.

All this was done off of insider trading

Or we could just skip all of that and have her spokesperson tell us Loeffler has no involvement with her financial advisor's financial decisions.
