At least in the eyes of Dana and the ferttitas.

You don't sell your business when you are sustaining growth year after year.

You sell when you know the future is bleak and want to capitalize on your value.

they know they aren't gonna get another Ronda another Conor another brock anytime soon and let's face it, those are the stars that can drive big numbers. The rest are meh.

Well those guys wanting to buy it for $4.2 billion are sure pretty stupid then...

Same shit was said after Brock left.

I agree 100%. YouTube sold to Google in 2006. Video sharing died then and there.

I think MMA has peaked. It's not dying... just sort of leveled off.

Meh after a decade and a half, MMA has been getting somewhat stale lately...

Maybe it's time to move on.

MMA has taken a few steps down and never recovered after the death of Pride IMO.

$4,000,000,000 is not what any reasonable investment group is going to pay for a dying brand. If they really are getting offers like that it shows the opposite.

Not dying but they peaked with Ronda and Conor

It could also be they spent 15 years building this thing into a huge business, reebok deal, fox deal, MMA in NY, superfights, fight pass, USADA, etc and made the UFC a household name and are poised to cash out for $4 BILLION on a, what $2 million investment?

Not saying I'm right, just a thought.

lol, that was a very intelligent response and completely shot down T.S. argument. Very good point sir

I have to agree m8.

I don't think my level of anticipation for MMA peaked for any UFC event as much as the Pride GP's, Fedor Crocop, or Rampage Wand 2.

It picked up for a while from 08-10 but it's been a free fall for the sport since.

Maybe they just know the sport is evolving. Their athletes are becoming superstars and they are going to have to start paying out more money to more fighters which is less for them to dip into. So get out now while they can.

i pray everyday for the death of Ultimate Fighting Entertainment... I want to go back to 2005!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! War Shogun!!!!!!

UFC is not for sale, its only shares like the same thing they did in 2010 when they sold shares to flash entertainment. UFC is not dying, its doing fantastic.

Holy fuck...

Zuffa's best year ever in 2015 but TS is convinced mma is dying.

You need to spend a little more time getting an education. And a little less time online.

As much as I can't stand the way Dana carries himself and how a single thing that comes out of his mouth can't be trusted, I wouldn't want his job for even an hour.

Imagine being all call 24/7, dealing with fighters who can be so demanding, pissy, whiny, etc. I bet getting a huge payday and being able to be a pure fan of the sport/circus show would be a nice change of pace.
