Self-confessed feminist says women should take catcalling as a compliment

"A WOMAN has admitted she enjoys being “catcalled” and doesn’t understand why others find it offensive.

Student and self-confessed feminist Charley Scoggins said she reckons females shouldn’t feel patronised, offended or degraded when they’re told they’ve got a “tight a*s” or a “juicy rack”.

However many people have criticised her comments on social media, warning her: “Normalising this harassment only serves to perpetuate the climate of rape culture."

right, so this is cool and all. girls should not be so offended by a cat call or a wolf whistle at all. i personally dont think there is any real ill intentions behind them, as apposed to stalking girls in alleys late at night or like that english guy that raped and murdered that gorgeous aussie girl after taking her home whilst she was black out drunk at a bar in england.

the main gripe i have with this article is that i call bullshit. this girl wouldnt be cat called and she isnt hot. so this whole story is a fucking farce.

 

I disagree. Catcalling can be creepy, perverted and just disgusting. Often the guys doing it are gross.

 

To be honest dudes who catcall aren't going to rape a woman. It's tacky yes and I guess it's demeaning to some women but to say those idiots who catcall are rapists is ridiculous.

Meh. Some women and/or feminists believe one thing, and the rest something else. Don't see what the big deal is about her being okay with it.

Though I find it weird that she says she wouldn't understand why others may feel uncomfortable about it. It's fine if you yourself enjoy it, but I wouldn't act like everybody else should too.

I always find it uncomfortable bc sometimes when you respond to it in a negative way or even just ignore them, then guys get hostile or creepy (well, creepier). It's not something I personally feel is complimentary or half the time is even its intention /:

A lot of guys and woman haters refuse to put themselves in the woman's shoes. That is why many guys don't understand why many women dislike it.

When that woman posted that video of her walking around NYC. So many guys on youtube replied calling her a 'bitch and stuck up for not appreciatin the comments.

As it stands guys don't like attention from scary/gross girls so why would women like it from men?
