Seen on Reddit, some dude tried to measure fighter cardio based on actions per minute and...

Dillashaw and Volkanovski stick out like sore thumbs here, with their activity rate rising with every round.

Also, not crazy to see that Max Holloway the highest average total score and the highest single round.

I assume you mean Volk and CEO of EPO *edit: Snake in the Grass, my bad) pushing the pace as the fights go on, not even slowing down in the 5th round? Interesting stuff.
Also - THIRD ROUND YOEL!

Not only do we see who gains steam as the fight progresses, but we see some who appear to fade as well.

This is really neat even if it doesn't provide 100% of the relevant context. In any case there are some fighters whose activity rates were lower than I would've expected and some whose were a fair bit higher.

3rd Round Yoel truly is a mythical fighter beyond reproach.

How much cardio do you use when 80% of your strikes are 20% power though, as opposed to someone who throws everything with intent to finish, it's interesting but doesn't paint the full picture.

Pretty cool info. There are so many other factors involved when it comes to judging cardio, and I'm not sure it makes a ton of sense to consider every action on the same scale (ie. a small clinch strike as equal to a takedown attempt in terms of the cardio required for these specific actions), so I don't know whether you can really conclude all that much from this.... but it's still pretty interesting to see. Thanks for sharing.

It would be interesting to see it with different weights for different actions: maybe 1x for punches, 2x for kicks, and 3x for takedowns and sub attempts.

This is a pretty cool visual representation, would be cool if there was an official variation for everyone. Makes you appreciate fighters even more.

Colby the "real Ceo of Epo" his words
So much for Diaz the cardio monsters, hope this is cleared up now

Too many variables to be meaningful imo.

Some dude on Reddit tried to measure cardio using only offensive "actions".
