Didn't Askren lose a wrestling match to Hendricks? But he's considered the better wrestler overall, no?

I want to see GSP-Askren now.

Askren's wrestling is on par with Hendrix, but he's not as experienced. He's been in MMA for 3 less years than Hendrix and he's not as well rounded.

I think Askren will get to a level very close to where Hendrix is right now, but it may be three years down the road.

Gsp stopped trying to wrestle for 3 rounds, after hendricks landed the uppercut and knee,Askrens standup is so bad gsp would just pick him apart standing.

"Outwrestle"? You mean "wrestle to a draw"?

Hendricks made that fight competitive with his power. What exactly is Askren going to bring to the table?

We've always known GSP was vulnerable to strong wrestlers. Koscheck put him in trouble twice, and the second fight was defined by the broken orbital, not GSP's superior technique.

But what, exactly, does Askren offer? He doesn't have Koscheck's dynamic double, and he doesn't have Hendricks' big power.

Im pretty sure gsp had 3 take downs compared to Johnnys 2. You could make an argument and say their wrestling canceled each others out...but to say Johnny won the wrestling is a total stretch.
