Inoue doesn’t move his head, his footwork and power punches are his defence like GGG

if he goes up in weight this might bite him in the ass

OTOH, I don't watch him or "like" him 'cos I want to watch "The perfect fighting machine".

I watch him 'cos he only wants to take your head clean off your shoulders & fights with all the self-preservation of a Samurai. & he doesn't only fight smaller guys or take fights that are 90-10 in his favour (people in Britain were talking up McDonnell "Teaching him a lesson as the bigger man", no-one seriously at the time thought he'd walk through Narvaez, I can remember talk of Hernandez being too much for him when he'd only had 5 fights, serious people thought Rodriguez would give him trouble...).

Yes he has flaws. He's also, what, 26 years old? He could be like truly great, & he's willing to shoot for it I think.

I cannot see a reason why anyone would not get behind him, unless they're one of those weirdoes who only likes big bois.

This. He's just fecking exciting. And yes, he is there to be hit, but he also showed against Donaire that he could take an amount of punishment that very few can dish at 118.

I think the defensive holes of Inoue are there but have been overstated for a while, and he's gotten better at patching them up when he went up in weight. I'd still like to see him in there with a young, fresh killer like Nery before I'm ready to anoint him the top dog, but he can do it.

Great aggression, combos and foot movement to find the perfect angles...

An potential future problem would possibly be if he stays in the pocket too long against a stronger fighter who can take a shot..

Similar to Julian Jackson in his fights against Gerald McLellan or Terry Norris in his first fight with Simon brown

His defense may not be the best but shes shown a GOAT level chin and recovery.

I cant see anybody else eating those clean left hook and right hands from Donaire like that and still recovery easily
