So, I am doing a second run through on Breaking Bad. It feels very different this time around even though I remember feeling that everything was eventually going to go to shit the first time I watched it. This time through it feels very much like Walt even more than Jesse is a complete fucking idiot and he was lucky to not get killed or arrested early on. Nothing about it seems very thought out and planned and Walt just feels compelled to keep going because he has nothing else to be proud of. They didn't even get any money put together until half way into the second season due to how much they were fucking things up. I expected some of this but it just feels like Walter is a complete fucking moron who is content to keep rolling the dice until he finally bust instead of just walking away with just meager winnings.

First couple of seasons was always one step forward two steps back. Walt didn't start making money until Gus hired him. Down side to that was he knew Gus would kill him the moment he wasn't needed.

It's the story of a deeply pent-up egomaniac, who finally found the excuse he needed (terminal cancer) to melt down & rage at the world.

Fair enough.

You should definitely watch it.
Yeah everyone tells me. But its the same as gaming right now, i just cbf signing up for a big series or game... too much dedication. I been reading heaps

That's actually why I stopped watching in the second season - every episode became "how are Walt and Jesse going to get out of this pickle?"

I'm glad I picked it back up. I was never a fan of Walt so I didn't love it as much as everyone else. Still a good show.

It is quite a commitment. I binge-watched the whole series in like 4 days.

I know what you mean, I also had a completely different view of the show when I watched it for the 2nd time, although I much prefer how I felt about it the first time.

I remember hating skyler, like most people do, but the 2nd time through she didn’t bother me as much. Maybe I was more sympathetic.

Just watched it again with the wife and I still hated Skyler and her sister. Probably the best tv series I have seen though.

Watched it a second time again about a year ago, still thought that rat bastard jesse should have died.

Walt's son was an ungrateful little shit.

Obviously walt deserved to die.

Still top 3 shows of all time. Top Action/Drama of all time IMO. Sooo good.

And those who never finished because of a few necessary lulls in plot development have no staying power. Every show has it's necessary lulls. Breaking Bad is amazing and anyone who stopped it needs to pick it up again and finish it. Or you may as well be done with TV altogether because it takes an attention span.

The second time watching it, I don't hate Skyler at all. She just wasn't strong enough to turn Walt in to protect the family. She isn't a bitch at all during the second viewing.

Outside of comedy shows, it's my favorite. Nearly flawless. Phenomenal show.

I found Breaking Bad less enjoyable after rewatching it. It's obviously still a great series, but it's just not a show that I can rewatch multiple times.

On the flip side, I'm rewatching The Sopranos again and it's still just as great as the first time I watched it.

Tony Soprano > Walter White
