    Roots easily.

Run DMC is great for pop culture and the progression of Hip Hop but the actual music in this contest is seriously one sided.

Thank you! I was the first person to vote for the Roots and was surprised to see them down.

And I've always felt the same way with Run DMC. Great for the culture but musically speaking, The Roots shits on them.

Just heard 'what they do" the other day.

Roots all day. Can't believe they're losing.

Notable albums for the Roots doesn't mention Illadelph Halflife.

What in the Hell? One of the best hip hop albums ever. Yes. Ever.

I didn't think that this would be that close. I personally think The Roots are better in every aspect. Plus they are legit musicians. I also think their songs straight up just sound better.

This is the toughest matchup IMO
(Public Enemy should have beaten BB)

    I'm with The Roots because
their "laid back an' relaxin" style,
    continues to hypnotize me, while
Run DMC became a reality TV joke.
It's fitting, the lifeless Crown Royal seemed rehearsed
With a nobody's who's who including Fred Durst,
    Kid Rock and Sugar Ray.
I wouldn't download that crap, let alone pay.
