Sorry it's a little old but I figured I would share it anyway. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sean-sherk-return-ufc-im-152729204--mma.html Basically says that's hes not ready to retire and still has 2 fights left on his contract with the ufc. He has been trying to get over all the injuries and has been talking to Dana and Joe Silva. Anyway I've always been a big fan and even though he is prob a little to old to make a good run, I have always enjoyed watching him fight and would love to see him back in the octagon.
Awesome. I thought he was going to dominate LW before BJ Penn came around. Hopefully he can get some wins!
I'd like to see him fight Gomi, and if that goes well see how he does against a Melvin type. Sherk is a legit fighter: 36-4 is an awesome record. His only loses are to Hughes, GSP, Penn, and Edgar.
When you pack so much muscle (by legal or illegal means) on a frame that shouldn't be carrying that weight, you will have lots of injuries.
i was a huge sherk fan back in the day after seeing how hard he trained and wrestled. i'd like to see him back in form but he HAS to stop trying to box.
Dude is fun to watch, he's the exact opposite of BJ: he did the best he could with the little he had (too small, short arms etc.) I hope he faces BJ next.
You know, being to small isn't really a problem in a sport with weight classes. If he thinks he would do better at 145 nothing's stopping him from competing at that weight (he would have to drop some muscle).
You know, I was pretty much happy that he'd be returning but he got so much flack on here when he was active. Where did all the fans all of a sudden come from?
